TEAM

Michael Klein

is an architect and researcher based in Vienna, Austria. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna he has been working in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design in practice, research, and teaching. MK is conducting PhD research within the SCIBE Research Project.

 

Georg Kolmayr

works solely on the SCIBE research project. He is a Vienna-based architect and researcher specialized in housing and urban development. Besides of teaching at the Institute for Architecture and Design at the TU Vienna, he runs his own office since 2004.

 

Christina Nägele

studied cultural science and aesthetics at the University of Hildesheim. She is working at the threshold of fine arts, architecture and design in the realm of curatorial practice, cultural education and communication. Her focus lies on projects with thematic approaches and interdisciplinary discourses that deal with cultural practices, spatial production and contemporary social and ecological conditions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Andreas Rumpfhuber

is an architect and researcher, as well as founder of Expanded Design. Andreas was a member of the researchers' and artists' collective, roundtable.kein.org, at the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College in London. He received a Ph.D. stipend (2005-2008) for the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, in Copenhagen and studied architecture at TU Graz and the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. He has been teaching at various universities, has been publishing texts and books, and is the curator and initiator of the lecture series Theoriesalon.

 

 

Associated Researchers:

 

Teresa Klestorfer 

is an architect and researcher based in Vienna, Austria. She is currently working on her diploma project at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. 

 

Marija Maric

is an architect and researcher from Novi Sad, Serbia. She studied Theory and Research in Architecture and Urbanism, and currently is developing her MA thesis in Intermedia Research. Interested in methodology in architecture and urbanism, she has been working as an architect, theorist and concept developer.

 

 

 

 

 

Interns:

 

Damaris Casula

is an architect from Cagliari, Italy. She studied architecture at the University of Cagliari and graduated with a thesis on urban planning in collaboration with the Cardiff University, UK. Interested in urbanism, environmental sustainability and parametric design, she is doing a Dual Master Degree at the University of Cagliari and the University of Applied Arts Vienna.


Eugenio Lintas

is an architect from Sassari, Italy. He graduated in architecture from the University of Sassari (AAA) with a thesis in collaboration with Beykent University on urban design in Istanbul. Currently he is doing a Dual Master Degree in the field of sustainability in architectural design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the University of Cagliari.
